exiting the pool

Saturday we went to the pool for the last swim of the 2006 summer season. It was a beautifully warm afternoon, the water was perfect and it was quiet. Here, Maja demonstrates her pool exiting strategy: Maja also showed Omi how she can blow bubbles and is not afraid of the 'big' pool! It's amazing to note the difference in Maja between June and September. When we first went to the pool at the beginning of the summer she was reluctant to go in the water and kept falling over in the pool -- she needed a ring float to keep her stable. By the end of the summer she didn't need the pool float and had no problems getting in or out of the water. She even wanted to abolish the float when she was in the big pool (impossible, though, because the girl can't swim yet!!!) -- she's an independent child.
