Emerson

The creature who was the most disoriented about the move was/is Emerson. He sat/lay/stood by the new front door all day on Friday and whined. Poor guy. He was so confused! I set up his bed by lunchtime and he took to it occassionally, but still preferred the front door zone. Maybe he thought he could escape the craziness???

Poor little emerson... Could it be that his lead is at the door and he wants to go out because he's not used to the house? Maybe if you move the lead by his bed it might help.

When we moved the first time and Moat was still with us - he had a terrible with the change in environment, it broke my heart, he was shaking like a leaf when all the furniture was going out the door. But thank goodness he soon settled into the new place :o)

I hope Emerson's back to himself soon. Give him some extra cuddles from me! I just love emerson, I wanted to take him home with me!!! He's the coolest little dog in the world :o)

I'm not sure about the leash -- he actually hates going for walks. When we do take him out all he wants to do is go back inside; when he's inside he just wants to be outside. Poor guy. He was a bit better yesterday... he'll get used to it!
I think what also confuses him is that everything outside is familiar since we're in the same neigbourhood...
He's also refusing to eat his dinner until everyone (Richard, Maja and myself) is at home for the evening. I'm trying to stay close by now (i.e. on the first floor) when I feed him, so he doesn't feel abandoned.

Emerson will be better soon. Bandit doesn't eat when she's stressed or until we're all there so don't worry. I just got around to reading your blog again and wow, alot has gone on in the last five days.

Congratulations on the estate. Looks great.
